A dispatch desk built around one habit: show the math
Most carriers who call us have been burned once already: a dispatcher who booked loads without asking, a fee that grew in the fine print, or a "great rate" that turned out to be 150 empty miles from anywhere. LoadSteward exists to be the opposite of that.
We are a private truck dispatch service for owner-operators and small fleets. We find loads, negotiate them against your cost per mile, handle the broker calls and the paperwork, and show you exactly what we charged on every load. Our specialty outside the load board is trucking money: IFTA, fuel, taxes, cost per mile and cash flow, explained with the source and date for every number.
7% new MC, box truck or hotshot. 4% fleets of 2+.
The desk
Dispatch desk: Mon-Sun, 24/7. Dispatchers handle load sourcing on the major boards and with direct broker contacts, rate negotiation, broker and check calls, carrier packets, detention and layover claims, and a weekly report for every truck.
The rules we run by
- + Every load is offered first. The rate confirmation goes to you, and you say yes or no.
- + Brokers pay you or your factor, never us.
- + We dispatch 26 ft box trucks and up. No cargo vans, no sprinters.
- + No referral schemes and no paid placements in our guides.
How we price
One percentage of gross, only on loads you haul: 5% for one truck, 7% for a new MC, a 26 ft box truck or a hotshot, 4% per truck for fleets. Every line is on our dispatch fees page.

Writes and checks the money guides, calculators and term pages on this site
Every guide carries his byline and the date it was last checked against its sources: the IRS for tax figures, IFTA, Inc. and state revenue departments for fuel tax, EIA for diesel prices, FMCSA and the eCFR for federal rules. How that research works, and how to report a figure that has changed, is on our editorial policy page.
What we are not
LoadSteward is a private dispatch service. We are not a tax preparer, accountant, bank, lender or insurance agency, and we are not affiliated with IFTA, Inc., the IRS or any state agency. Our guides are general information. We refer factoring requests to RTS and may be paid for referrals; our disclosure lists every partner.
