Guides and calculators are general information
Our money guides, tables and calculators explain trucking costs, IFTA, fuel tax, income tax, depreciation, factoring and related topics in general terms. They are not tax, legal, accounting or financial advice, and they don't consider your situation.
- Tax rates, per diem rates, filing dates, fuel prices and limits change, often every quarter or tax year. We date every figure and link its official source, but you must check figures against the official source (the IRS, IFTA, Inc., your base jurisdiction, EIA, CARB or the relevant agency) before you rely on them.
- Calculator results depend on the numbers you enter and on simplified formulas we show on each page. They are estimates.
- Confirm tax matters with a qualified tax professional before you file. We are not a tax preparer, accountant, bank, lender or insurance agency, and we are not affiliated with IFTA, Inc., the IRS or any state agency.
No guarantee of loads or income
Examples on this site, including sample loads, weeks, months, lanes and rates, are labeled EXAMPLE and are made up to show how the math works. They are not promises. Freight markets change, and nobody can guarantee a number of loads, a rate per mile or a weekly income, including us.
Partners and outside links
Some pages link to outside companies, including our factoring partner and affiliate partners described on our disclosure page. Their products, prices and terms are theirs, not ours; check their current terms before you sign up. We aren't responsible for outside websites.
Using the site
- Give accurate information in our forms, and only submit your own contact details or ones you are authorized to share.
- Don't try to break, overload, scrape at scale or probe the site, its forms or its security.
- Don't use the site for anything unlawful.
Our content
The text, calculators, graphics and design on this site belong to LoadSteward. You may quote short parts with a link back, and you may print or save calculator results for your own business. Data tables marked for citing may be cited with a link to the page and the date shown.
